Korean Part-of-Speech Codes
The table below describes the parts of speech used in our comprehensive Korean Lexical Database. Our linguists have made an in-depth analysis of the major theories of Korean word classes, including traditional "school grammar" as well as approaches based on computational linguistics, and developed a simple scheme suitable for most Korean information processing applications such as NLP, IR and IME. The lexical database contains various other grammatical attributes, such as detailed conjugation patterns and verb transitivity codes. For more details, see korpos2.htm.
